Mahadeva Prasad said Sri Siddappaji’s jathre was famous in Kollegal where people from far and near places visit the kshetra and stay there for a couple of days to have his darshan.

Veteran actor Srinivasa Murthy who is playing the role of Mante Swamy said duration of the role did not matter to him and that it was his duty to do justice too the character that was offered to him.

He said he knew nothing about the god-man when he accepted the offer to play the title lead role. “I was tensed about how I could go about doing the role and at the time I was doubtful about the makeup and my costumes during the first few days of the shoot. But, my assistant Siddu helped me by narrating stories about the god-man and that’s how I learnt about Sri Siddappaji,” he said.

Naveen Krishna also said he was acting with his father in a devotional film for the first time.

Director B S Purushottama, who has himself written the story and the lyrics, dedicated the film to his guru and director Saiprakash.
